CHAMPIONS Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten programs for 3-5 year-olds is designed to be flexible, choice-based and adjusted to varying developmental levels and learning styles. Activities focus on pre-reading (our READ*WRITE*NOW! program) and pre-mathematics. Hello!!! My Name is Connie Endsley and I have been the assistant Pre-Kindergarten teacher here at St. James for the past five years!! I have five children and 13 grandchildren!
I have lived in Dogtown for 37 years - all of them in the same home! All of my children have attended St. James and they all loved it!!! As a matter of fact, my granddaughter also graduated from here!! I have worked in daycare in the past, and have also enjoyed babysitting in my home for 15 years. I am very happy to be returning here to pre-k. I always learn so much from the children!!! |

Dear Families!
My name is Pat Fuhrman and I am excited to be your Champions Pre- School teacher here at St. James the Greater School for KLC School Partnerships!! I have been on board in my beautiful classroom for three school years.
In 2006, I was the proud recipient of the Excellence in Education Award. With this title, I was able to attend the NAA conference in Phoenix, AZ and network with many fine fellow educators. The conference workshops that I was able to attend have proven to be very beneficial to my pre-school environment. I am a resident of Dogtown, as I live on Tamm Ave., near the school. I am, however, originally from Madison, Wisconsin. I am the oldest of ten children. In addition, I have four children and three grandchildren!! My parents, brothers and sisters still reside in Wisconsin. I visit as often as possible. Before I arrived at your school of St. James the Greater, I was the Pre-School teacher at Resurrection School as well as working many years for Computer Tots. With this said, I DO believe I have the best looking children right here in this bright and shiny classroom!!! They are my joy!!! I look forward to MANY more years filled with learning and enjoyment as I get to know the many families of St. James the Greater!! Sincerely, |

| Dear Mary: I wanted to take this moment to let you know that both Mary and I were very pleased with your program at St. James The Greater. We feel that the program which you and your staff provided was a very nurturing and stimulating environment for both of our children as they entered their school years. As I'm sure you know our two boys are very different from each other and both thoroughly enjoyed the program and always looked forward to telling Mom and Dad what they had done "at school today." I believe that it was also great that they had some interaction with the children in Kindergarten and other grades. This really made them feel like they were part of the Saint James community. We believe that your staffs' activities and the curriculum was a great asset to them as they went on to the Kindergarten program at St. James The Greater. | Dear Mary, We just wanted to let you know how much each of our three girls enjoyed attending the Champions pre-K program at St. James The Greater. Not that long ago, we remember bringing our oldest daughter to your classroom on her third birthday. We expected to get a call at some point in the day to come and pick her up. To our surprise and pleasure, however, she enjoyed herself so much she didn't want to come home! That daughter is in fourth grade at St. James now, and she was so fortunate to make friends with kids in the Champions program whom she can still count as friends today. Our younger daughters had similarly positive experiences in your program. Champions did a great job preparing each of our children for the rigors of Kindergarten (and beyond). They all definitely 'hit the ground running'! Finally, we would like to mention something about the Champions Pre-K staff. Both Miss Pat and Miss Connie have had a wonderful influence on our children. We are so glad that our girls still get to visit with these dedicated ladies on a daily basis as they continue in their education at St. James. Dear Mary,
We are writing this to express our thoughts regarding the St. james pre-school organization with Champions School Partnership. We have had two children attend this school in the past three years and we would highly recommend this pre-school program to any parent. Tha teachers have been most compassionate and you can recognize the passion they show towards each individual child. The Champions program seems to focus on what is important for a child and the parents to help prepare the child's social and educational skills that enables them to take that leap to become a kindergarten student.
