Meet the Carlson's Kids Staff

Miss ConnieHello! My name is Connie Jansen. I am the director/pre-k 4 teacher for Carlson's Kids at St. James the Greater Catholic School. Your child will be having a very busy and exciting school year. They will learn many things through play such as taking turns, how to share, rules, and communication skills. Your child will discover how to print their name and cut paper using scissors. During the school year students will also learn to identify numbers, the alphabet, shapes, colors, and environmental print.

I studied Early Childhood Education at Missouri Baptist University. I have nine years experience teaching preschool as a lead teacher and three years experience as an aid. I am the mother of three children and enjoying spending my free time with them.

Miss AnneMy name is Anne Garrabrant and I am the pre-k 3 teacher for Carlson's Kids at St. James the Greater Catholic School. I am looking forward to sharing a terrific year with your child. We will be working on letter recognition, identifying numbers 1-10 as well as shapes and colors. Your child will also work on their social skills such as sharing with others waiting their turn and following classroom rules. They will also be exposed to different learning styles and experience their classroom hands on.

I am a recent graduate from Saint Louis University with a degree in Elementary Education. I have 2 years experience working in the preschool setting with the Jumpstart program and many more working with children of all ages in different settings. I am excited to share my first year teaching experience with you and your child!
