How much does it cost to attend St. James the Greater School?
St. James is a tuition-based school. Our tuition rate is the same for parishioners and non-parishioners. For the 2017-18 school year, the tuition for one student is $4551.00 (additional fees apply). Our students are in school for 175 days, so our yearly tuition equals less than $26.00 per day for a quality Catholic education! In addition, we offer significant discounts for the second and third child. If you would like more information about the tuition and fees, please click on the "Registration" tab.

A copy of your most current tax return is a mandatory part of the application.

What is your technology program like?
Every classroom is equipped with a SmartBoard. A SmartBoard is an interactive learning tool that connects a classroom computer to a large whiteboard display panel that can be manipulated in a number of ways. It basically turns a whiteboard into a giant computer monitor! Students can run a computer application from the SmartBoard itself, without ever having to touch a computer mouse! St. James has Smartboards in every classroom of our building. In addition, we also have 30 iPad minis, 10 iPad Airs, and 34 Chromebooks for students to use. Students also use Google for Education in meaningful ways to increase efficiency, engagement and collaboration. Students can access Google Apps from home for a consistent homework experience.

Are there opportunities for learning outside of the school building?
Yes. All students at St. James participate in 1 'Cultural Day' during the year. Students leave the school building to engage in special days of learning that are synchronous to their classroom studies. In addition to the 'Cultural Day', individual classes may take field trips as designated by the homeroom teachers.

Moreover, 1-2 "Room Parents" are needed for each grade level to plan parties and special events throughout the year. Finally, parents will be asked to fill positions within the Home & School Association and the School Board as these positions become available.
